This is a great thing, with Garrett they would still be Midnight Oil. Sadly, I thought the Oils had reached their zenith a long time ago as far as writing (Diesel & Dust), although they still put on a fantastic show as we saw at the Brush Fire benefit last year. It will be nice to focus on the music and leave behind the social and political issues that were such a big part of Midnight Oil's presentation.

I think I really liked all of Midnight Oils album immensely except Redneck Wonderland (which has some good cuts on it) and the first two (they don't sound as crisp to me but once again had some good cuts on them).

Sure, Jeff, I just don't want to post unnecessarily, but seeing you asked so nicely - here's the next one - a competition, yes, you heard right - a prize - to make a film clip for a wave breaking tune called "WINKIPOP" see here:

Hello again; sorry about multi-posting. I'm doing it on on request! Chip in if you've got more or different information.

In Australia the official release of The Break CD "Church Of The Open Sky” - is Friday April 16.

From one of their promotional emails they say
"However, if you live outside of Australia or simply can’t wait that long to hear the record, we’ll show you how to buy the the CD right now.

All the best and thanks,
THE BREAK"

I've hidden nothing from you

an article about the Break...did someone else post this lnk?

Thanks for all the news posts for a group that I suspect as being one of the great Break-out surf bands this year, and hopefully for years to come. I too can't wait to hear the debut new album.

I just ordered a CD from Bombora after reading Moginie's track-by-track description. This is the best thing since Vegemite.
