I hear ya on that one Brian. I have been doing the lower voltage ones forever. I used a 9V once on one of my 15" JBLs, and that thing kicked like a mule, but it was the only battery I had on hand. If I'm in that situation again, I honestly think I'd just risk being out-of-phase until I could track down a AA.

kaijusaafu: I am not saying it can't work. Just that sometimes the results can be bizzare and unwanted; where addition of identical frequencies actually results in their complete subtraction.
There have been multiple examples of multiple amps in action through the ages, though, so who knows?
Oh yes, I am not disagreeing with you either! I am just saying that when it does work, it sounds very, very nice.
How does everyone go about splitting their signals into two different amps? I usually do it via an effect pedal with stereo outs at the end of my chain to split the signal.
