Great news if you love surf music and like exploring shortwave radio. The Big Beach Radio Show is coming to The Mighty KBC Europe on 6095 kHz for the summer of 2014. The show’s presenter Peter Quinn describes the venture as 'a mirage of the perfect day on the beach.' Peter has been heard on a range of radio stations over the years including Radio Caroline, The Voice of Peace, Island Sound Malta and numurous UK and European radio stations. He says hes delighted to be appearing on The Mighty KBC and cordially invites you to catch some surf on shortwave every week at 11.00 UTC.
The show starts Saturday 19th April and goes to air whatever the weather.
The Big Beach Radio Show
Station – The Mighty KBC
Freq – 6095 kHz (49 mb shortwave)
Day - Saturday
Time - 11.00 UTC
This Saturday, April 6 from 2-4PM (Pacific) will mark the debut of a new weekly 2 hour Surf Music radio show on Luxuriamusic.com called FIBERGLASS JUNGLE.
Luxuria is an extremely well known and fanatically followed internet station that presents 24 hours of unusual, specialized programming geared to those with more retro sensibilities. The station features a number of fantastic shows hosted by some pretty heavy hitters covering a wide range of genres and styles--Garage, Psychedelic, Jazz, Easy Listening, Exotica, Lounge, Space Age Pop, Bachelor Pad, Incredibly Strange and Outsider Music, and much more!
Fiberglass Jungle will present the very best in recordings that fall under the wide instrumental Surf Music umbrella. This base encompasses the “pre-surf” instrumental Rock n’ Roll tunes of the late 50s, the classic “First Wave” originators of the early 60s, the “Second Wave” bands of the late 70s and early 80s, the crossover, genre-blending “Third Wave” bands of the 90s, the cutting-edge, description-defiant melting pot of current-day innovators, as well as a healthy dose of Spaghetti Western, international styles such as Japanese Eleki and Finnish Rautalanka, Surf-Guitar-based Exotica, Easy Listening, and Spy/Crime Jazz.
There will be a proper web presence coming soon, which will likely include a blog where each week's playlist and band/song/album information will be posted regularly.
To submit music, press releases or other Surf Music related news, please feel free to contact email@example.com.

My friend Edgar from Bremen, Germany discovered this site. ENJOY it. Sometimes the track playing is shown a little later than the music started playing, advertising is in the beginning of every log in, but then you ll be surprised about the choice of songs!! Don´t mind when the download is interrupted, it will start continuing in a few seconds.

Tim Murphy writes:
My name is Tim Murphy and in February I am launching “The Shamrock Beach Music Hour – Songs of Sand, Surf and Summer.” This weekly show will focus on surf music over the last five decades, plus great summer hits. We’ll run from the Ventures to contemporary Australian and South American surf bands, from the Beach Boys to surf garage punk.
This show will be presented to national syndicators, satellite radio and will be available for podcast and downloads.
We will leave no grain of sand unturned in our search for the best beach music. If you know bands that would like to be included on this show, have them band send us their stuff. We’re requesting music on CD (for the best quality) and any bio and discography information of the band. Attached is the address to send your material.
We will post a song list and links to the bands featured on each week’s show on our website.
I hope you can jump on board and ride the wave.
