yep, can't wait. I think that we might be looking for a gig in San Francisco on the 11th still, anyone have any thoughts?
We're pretty much all set, I just have to figure out a bass amp, I'm not lugging my ampeg all the way to California, plus I think 450 watts might be a bit much for some of these shows.

I wish I could catch some shows. I have great memories of the 2005 Chicago Exotica show:

I can get you a small bass amp. FI is a very small venue - minimal volume needed. I'd consider your FI gig to be your SF bay area gig, unless you're playing with another band that has a draw. Why not just enjoy the 11th doing a little sight seeing and have a nice leisurely dinner in North Beach?

maybe try for a San Jose area gig for the 11th.
Maybe Trader Vics Palo ALto.
I'll send you a e-mail with a friend who knows the manager there.

cool. I may take you guys up on the bass amp offers. THANKS!!
Danny, I here you regarding a SF gig the day before Forbidden Island. When Don gets back from Hukilau I will know more about the 11th. I will be arriving early that day and hope to get some sight seeing done, I don't know when the other guys are rolling in. I think that's why Don has put off booking something.
thanks fellas.

Bump.
Just a month away. We're getting pretty fired up and have about 60 songs in the setlist now - including Lonely Girl, just for BTD. We will have a new tour shirt and both of our cds available at the shows. I've got the bass amp issue sussed out too. It should be awesome. Hope to see some of you out there.

Looking for something to do in California the week before Tiki Oasis?
How about following the Exotics on their tour of California Tiki Bars?
http://www.myspace.com/theexotics
Have played at Chicago's Trader Vics, and the Exotica festival a few years back. As well as many other tiki events.
and Don from the band owns the Foundation Tiki Bar in Milwaukee.
So please come out and see this great band on their first West Coast Tour,
and end up at Tiki Oasis.
sounds like Perfect timing to me.
