Enjoying the surf,sun and sand!!

Men in Grey Suits' Return of the Cnidarians! Wow, wow, wow!

So many influences are included, gorgeous playing - definitely surf, but not the same old thing.

When can I see this Hawaiian band perform live?

Drake Bell's Ready Steady Go (Produced and Featuring Brian Setzer!)

To Boldly go where no Tiki has gone before...

Marshall Crenshaw Someday Someway. Perfect pop.

Such an amazing album. Pure Godspeed perfection! Piss Crowns Are Trebled is my new favorite GYBE song. I can listen to it on repeat.

Now I'm exploring Love Sculpture on the UTube. Ba-loosey. Diamond Dave Edmunds scratching away at the fretboard like a young Jeff Beck with a case of the hives.

I just arrived back in Atlanta after a cool weekend in Kingsport, TN at the Muddy Creek, AMA National Outdoor MX Race and had the good fortune to have about 8 1/2 hours total to myself, in the car, listening to CD's with no "outside intervention." I got to reacquaint myself with several really outstanding records. Here are a couple of them in no particular order except I did listen to number one twice.

Nor'easter.......Mr Neutron
Czar Wars.........Space Cossacks
Wrong Planet.......The Mariners
The Pharoah.........The Montereys.
Beyond the Reef......Buddy Merrill
Greatest Hits Vol 2...The Crazy Aces
Surfin' with the Astronauts........
Les Paul and Mary Ford's Greatest Hits.
Patsy Cline's Greatest Hits.
The Fleetwoods Greatest Hits.

Some road trip! Ya.

Ridin' my dirt bike tomorrow........I'm stoked.

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

Red Sparowes - The Fear Is Excruciating, but Therein Lies the Answer

One of my favorite post-rock bands. They're dark and edgy and moody and melancholy, but with moments of sheer uplifting beauty. Check em out for something different!
