DEFINITELY. We never gave any permission to have our song used.
Having said that, I really don't care about things like these. It sucks when they make a full album freely downloadable, which is not the case here. I can justify this sort of thing as promotion.

Caught the 2nd half of the SG101 Podcast #2 (again) and all of Podcast #3 (again) on this mornings run. One of my most favorite Madeira songs, The Saracen, couldn't have come on at a better moment. There's a gnarly, massive hill in Umstead park that has a grave yard just a few hundred feet off the trail at its crest. I often think about laying down under one of the headstones every time I run it. Anyhow, The Saracen came on as the hill started. Pushed me up that hill like no-ones business!
Fady, And thanks for posting the video. Baja Marty is sitting in front of the stage right in front of me, and as usual, is seriously into the music. I will miss that so much. Next to him are Brian and Danny. That was a good day. I can't wait to do it again in just over a month! Though there will be one important guy missing...

I met guitarist Billy Graziadei a few years ago through a mutual friend. I ran into him again this weekend and he told me that he's (naturally) been a lifelong Gibson player but he's thinking of using more Fender-like tones for a new project he's working on. Of course I had to tell him about the Convention and long story short he's coming to check it out!

Talked to Damian from Mister Neutron about it, and never gave permission, either.

Cathrine from the Space Cossacks brought Exene from X a few years ago.
I wanted to say hi, but just left her alone, and didn't bug her.

Got this in the mail this morning:
Perhaps a little less in-your-face than their later stuff (as they only had one guitar at the time), but still enough oomph to prompt a coworker to ask what it was I was listening to that caused me to headbang like a 15 year old metalhead Their rendering of DD's Nitro borders on hardcore punk.

I also listened to this recently, after not having heard it in quite a while. For my money, I'd say this is the best surf album of all time - though I'll admit that is definitely arguable! But every time I hear this album, I'm amazed anew. A truly inspired work.

Having a cold beer listening to RFB Podcast #278
Wow! How many beers will it last ?
If you go to the RFB page & click the "Listen Now" button, you could listen & drink for over 11 days straight. Which may explain why I'm running out of steam.
