They put out 2 cds that I know of, back in the late 90s, or early 2000s Jeff(bigtikidude) |

Whorehay, I don't know much about Husky & The Sandman either. Like Jeff & Warren said, they were active in the 90's and then disappeared. Their second album is much stronger than the first, and is one of my favorites from all the 90's surf bands. They have a great trad sound, lots of reverb, great melodies, and even some sax! There was a video of them playing at an in-store on YouTube a while back, the first time I had ever seen them. I've attached it. Edit: I forgot this video has sync issues... Looks like there are a bunch of videos of them now, cool! —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea Last edited: May 01, 2012 21:10:41 |

And one more: Diamond Eye. I had trouble embedding this one, so check it out on YouTube: —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

cool vids, thanks for finding those Brian. I would have to assume since they are from Finland, that Husky and the Sandmen were very influenced to start a surf band, by Laika and the Cosmonauts. Jeff(bigtikidude) |

Thanks for the input! Watching these vids made me wonder--is it OK for Euro bands to wear Hawaiian shirts but not OK for US bands? —Radio Free Bakersfield--60 Minutes of TWANG, CRUNCH, OOMPH. |

it's not ok for U.S. bands to wear Hawaiian shirts?!?! When did this start? —The Exotics 1994-Current |

yeah I was kidding. I don't mind a band wearing Hawaiians personally. I do draw the line at cargo shorts and/or sandals. That is just one step too far. —The Exotics 1994-Current |
