PrestonRice: Maybe so, but what impresses me is that this means there are at least 8,000 people across the world who still care enough about this genre to sign up here. Not to mention, almost all of them are musicians.

PrestonRice: But, I need to stop posting in the shoutbox. I've been on a roll lately... Need more threads! Wink

zzero: 8000 members? I like that number! Good job!!!

Brian: Well it is definitely true that only a small fraction of that 8000 are active. And a lot of them seem to be spammers.

This thread goes way back, it's pretty interesting to see who is still here after all this time.

Lots of dead links too. Sad

I'd like to encourage everyone who has posted in the past to re-update this thread. Smile

agreed, I just went thru the whole thing,
lots of missing pics, and lots of people that aren't on here anymore.
wonder where they went?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

After going thru this whole thread I assumed there was a pic of me in here,
but I realized there wasn't (my bad)
So here I am with the Bass that some of you chipped in on for me, and the Guitar for the the SG101 convention #4 raffle that Colt Surf Donated.

Oh, I'm having impure thoughts about that Jazzmaster.

It's probably still for sale at Time Warp Music in Venice Beach,Ca.
The Guy who won it at the convention 2 years ago bought 1 ticket,
a week after he won it he sold it for 800 bucks. Shock No

Jeff(bigtikidude)

That's roughly £500.

If I had the money spare, I'd seriously look into getting that shipped as there's no way I'd find one over here for that price.

Well, you do know a music store isn't going to sell it for $800, right? They're just going to laugh at that sucker and mark it up $400 more...

I believe they have it marked at 2000 dollars.
if it's still there.

Jonpaul, you seen it lately?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I looked on their web store and it wasn't there.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

The website still lists "upcoming shows" for Dec. 2011--probably not the most accurate place to check. I'll swing by on Friday and check it out.
