Pasta Del Mar and pre-gig burritos for all...I'm imagining a re-enactment of the campfire scene in Blazing Saddles (with guitars).
Hey, as long as it's in key!
My better half and I probably won't make the pre-gig meet, but we'll be at the show for sure! (probably in the back )

Brian you are joking right,
awesome and Vegetarian burrito just don't seem to go together in my book.
no offense, but I'm 100% carnivore.
Whoa there Jeff, I love me some veggie burritos. I'm a meat eater, but sometimes meat in burritos gets in the way of the guacomole and sour cream. Mmm.

sorry your not coming thru.......
I don't understand what you are saying.
I like to think of some of my food as a big orgy of all kinds of stuff mixed together. But I am picky on what goes into it.
i.e. no sour cream, onions, Jalapenos, bell peppers, etc...

No Jalapenos? That's messed up!

I'm really excited for this show. Playing some spagetti western with Ferenc and the crew has been/ will be a blast. The style given me some new tools for my drumming toolbox.
Anyways, everyone come out to see ME playing in not one but two bands.
P.S. I voted for Taqueria Cancun, but La Corneta does have more space for large groups and has decent food.

First Chicken aka Pollo Asada is my Favorite meat, but Carne asada Ground Beef or Carnitas is all good.
then Beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, rice, guacamole, Salsa (pico de guyo)
but not too hot, and some times some cilantro, but that adds to the spicy
factor.
does that sound good/ok?
I also like Breakfast Burritos too.
Warren, too funny, I had Micheal Angelos pizza the other day after the Slacktone show. mmmmmmm Pizzza Burritos sounds good.

Oh yeah, the music- We had our fist show last night at the Pacific Film Archive which is having a Sergio Leone retospective. We had to play at an unbelievably low volume, but it went well. We have had three practices so some of it was a little rough, but overall it was such a blast to be playing these songs. I have to hand it to Danny, Tony, Karen and Jeff- it is not easy to pick up a whole set worth of material, especially with some difficult arrangements and the odd meters of film music. Also, it has been great to hear Danny play trumpet!
Here is what our set list looks like:
Farewell To Cheyenne (Morricone)
Titoli (Morricone)
Dripping Springs, TX (PDM)
The Outlaw (Link Wray)
Good, Bad & The Ugly (Morricone)
For A Few Dollars More (Morricone)
Playa Pistola (PDM)
Navajo Joe (Morricone)
Apache
Hang âEm High (Booker T)
A Man Called Dirt (PDM)
El Condor Pasa (Peruvian Traditional song)
Ring Of Fire (Johnny Cash)
The Lonely Bull (Herb Alpert)
Yishmichu Hashamayim (Meshugga Beach Party)
(Ghost) Riders
Guns Donât Argue (Morricone)

I've been itchin' to get
back up to the Bay area for awhile now.
I am flying in Sat morning,
planning on Trader Vics in Emmeryville at noonish.
then Bill of the Lava Rats said there is a great New
Zealand food place in Alameda near Forbidden Island
that has Killer Burgers, So well probably go
there at 4 ish.
Then Forbidden Island bar on Alameda from 6
pmish to 10 or 11 pm ish.
Sun. There is going to be a meet up of some of the
surf fans at a mexican food joint, at noonish,
look here for the final vote on where it will be:
multi page thread:
http://www.surfguitar101.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3909
Then the Hotel Utah show, Sun at 3pm, 4th and
Bryant, Pasta Del Mar, Pollo side project doing an
all spaghetti western set, Newer band the Tomorrow
men, and the Pyronauts from Sacramento.
then I fly out at 10 pm ish on Sun nite.
maybe be up for 1 more tiki bar on the way to the
airport, but real quick, can't miss flight.
hope some of you will come out to see me, its been a
few years since I have been up to the Bay area.
if anyone needs to call me about where or when
stuff is happening, call me
