Jags are always sexy, but I'm cursed with left-handititus so it's really not an option for me.
For me it's one of my strats with a bridge/neck pup switch.

Left-handed unfinished body from One Eyed Jacks(not sure how much finished, the $155 was for a thinline, so less presumably for a non-thinline) - $155
Finished in metallic finish left-handed from MJT - $350
Musikraft Neck - $195
Pickups - $100 (the amazing Fender AV65 Pure Vintage Pickups)
Pickguard - $30-50
Vibrato - $70 for AVRI on Amazon
Bridge - $30-$150
Metal plates - $55
Pots - $30
Wiring - $20
Tuners - $30
Nut - $50
Knobs - $15
Sliders - $20
Roller knob - $20
Strap pegs - $10
Neck plate - $10
Jack - $5

Jags are expensive because of all the parts!

Exactly. Fender only offers the KC model right now and my only other option is buying a Jap Jag. for around $1300.

Really good looking guitar. What's up with the trem, if I may ask? The trem hole looks unusal on the pic.

It is a sticker covering the hole.

Well, thanks for the clarification. Looked like a massive trem hole on the pic, maybe for a crowbar?

Some very unusual, yet awesome looking guitars in this thread! Btw, thanks for all the compliments on my Strat. SanchoPansen, that pic does make it look like a huge trem hole! CrazyAces, really like the shape on those guitars man. Btw, heard one of your songs on the Shrunken Head Lounge the other day.

I had a period of a few years when all I collected was weird shaped guitars, LOL
Thanks for the heads up about Shrunken Head Lounge. I'll have to thank Noodles
and I still dig that large headstock!

Absence makes the heart grow fonder... or Fender in this case. One of my favorite surf guitars was this Jag I owned back in the early 80's. I got it for next to nothing due to the refin. I don't know who did it, or what ever happened to it after I traded it away.

I got it from a shop near Detroit called Rock City. Don't think it's there anymore. I think they had an all-original silver Jag w/matching headstock for like $500. Man, that was a lot of $$. This one probably cost $200.

Bump.

So can anyone comment on the paint job and those odd ball metal flakes we were talking about?
