This Turkish singer has some good spy/noir instincts. The guitar on this tune is very tasty. She has a Portishead 90s thing going on.

It's kind of a surf song already, but I'd love to hear an instrumental version of Good Vibrations. The guy in the Caitlinbread video does a great job, but it's truncated.

I think it's a fun tune; thanks for the idea. Smile

I think this song would be wonderful. It already has many elements in place.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

This might be a generational thing but I've always thought the original 8 bit Nintendo had some classic songs. I know there are bands that cover just those songs but I always thought a surf album would be cool.

A listener once asked me if there was a surf version of the theme from Victory at Sea. He meant the song No Other Love here done by Perry Como. It is a pretty melody..

Of course, given all the surf music based on jazz standards, I would love a surf version of Cousin Mary.

It just downed upon me, has anyone ever surf covered Classical Gas?? Never heard a Surf version of that one.

That's a terrific idea.

We played 'Wicked Game' by Chris Isaac in our first set. Makes a beautiful moody quiet number that is instantly recognizable to the audience. It can be built up too as it rises through the octaves. Will be staying on our set list.
Also 'The Girl you want' by Devo. We played that at a party , just added the vocals in the catch line. Surfed up a treat.

Interesting choices. Man I can now hear Wicked Game surfed up right now!

If you can "say what you gotta say" in a few minutes... probably don't wanna go off on a long search for a "why does my daughter remind me of Django Reinhardt?" kinda thing.

Notre Dame de Paris - Belle (I guess it would sound something like this)

Swallow Tail Jig! ! ! ! !

I have no idea how to put an Irish beat onto Surf but my moto for life is:"IF a fiddle can play it, so does the Surf guitar"

British classic...
