Is there a good instruction video somewhere how to play a good surf beat? I do not want to say correct surf beat.
What do you think about this?:

Ooooof, the one above is terrible!
I love to watch Gina on drums. But for me this is not a reeeaaal surf beat... She is not doing the 4 on the floor for example. But I love the drum rolls when she starts! Aaahh!!!:

When she does the ride it gets to be ok, but still, sounds like a studio drummer (jack of all trades), not the right vibe you'd want.

Thanks for your opinion Ran. I think the same like you. They got not the right vibe.
I remember we played a few months with a "blue man" from the Blue Man Group here n Berlin. So he was a so called professional drummer. It was amazing for me to watch him playing. He was able to play everything, BUT he had to find the way to play surf with a good vibe! In the beginning he played way too much. At the first gig he played way too much. (I remember Lorenzo was DJing at this gig and he seemed nearly depressed by watching him... because he didn`t played surf at last!)
Three gigs later his drumming was surf! But then human behavior aspects with him went wrong and we have to say goodbye to him. ...things happen, the surf goes on!

3-way tie for me - stylistically these guys are very different from each other but when they play (real) surf music, these are my faves:
Dusty Watson
Jimmy Lester (Los Straitjackets original drummer, now with Webb Wilder. Incredible versatility, as would be expected from his roots as a Nashville session veteran)
Randy Wilt (X-Rays original drummer, the best I've ever been in the same band with in the past 50 years of live gigging on guitar or bass) He had an uncanny feel for surf drumming.

aka WoodyJ
The Mariners (1964-68, 1996-2005)
The Hula Hounds (1996-current)
The X-Rays (1997-2004)
The Surge! (2004, 2011-2012)
Various non-surf bands that actually made money (1978-1990)

Lots of great drummers on this list. One name that I am surprised has not been mentioned yet is Sandy Nelson. Not necessarily a classic "surf" drummer per se but a very big influence on guys back in the day.

I also want to give props to the legendary Steve Bidrowski..drummer for Superwave, the Deoras, the Unknowns, the Insect Surfers (and others). Steve has always cited Sandy as a major influence. Here's a sample of Steve's signature drum solo on Wild Kingdom (with a mystified Paul Johnson sitting in on the left).

Would love to see Superwave again and agree he's a phenomenal drummer. When are you guys playing again?
