Hi all. Newbie building my first outboard reverb unit, a Premier 90 clone. I really like this unit over the Fender, but like the Fender anything past 3 on the intensity is really too much. The original Premier 90 used an Accutronics pan with 8 ohms in and 2250 ohms out. I have a few Gibbs pans laying around, and one with 8 ohms in and 500 ohms out sounds really good. Alot of echo but not over the top. The output is a mismatch, and I'm sure this is the cause for the decreased amount of reverb. Any techs know if this is gonna cause problems? Any reason not to use this pan? Thanks for the input!

Hi Reverbo! Welcome to sg101. Glad you're here.

Welcome to the site Rev, there is a ton of great info on the search feature, nights of casual reading in fact. There is a Warning Heavy Reverb thread going on right now that may impead some of the feedback your looking for, but I'm sure This site and its members will be able to answer all your questions.
