This is a cool green as well.
Not an original color, it's actually a Honda color code but it's somewhere between Ocean Turquoise and Sherwood with really nice metallic highlights that show off contours well on an offset or Strat.

Speaking of green, I actually love this lime color, and think it would look really cool with a bunch of chrome. I definitely can see how, like the fruit, it wouldn't be to everyone's tastes though!

I kind of used another thread for updates, so excuse the duplicates if you've seen them already.
I got the neck in today, pictures will be at the bottom.
I put the order in for a dark Sherwood Green Metallic body, light yellowing, light checking, very light relic(not rubbing, dings are welcome). Just enough to not feel bad about messing it up.
As for the neck, Duo-Sonic neck from 1966 with a neck that is fairly chunky for a B-neck let alone one that went on a duo sonic. It is 1 11/16ths of an inch, just bigger than the 1 5/8ths a B should be.
And the good news, replacement tuners will drop right in. No need to refill or use conversion bushings.
Vintage Mustang and Duo-Sonic necks regularly go for $200-300 on ebay. These should be gobbled up, just great stuff. And way cheaper than a vintage Jag neck...

If I dig the Esquire switching/tone cap in the Marr rhythm plate, I'm going to do that to my Burgundy Mist Jag as well.

By the way, that neck is beautiful! Can't wait till I have the funds to finish the jag...

What is left on it? Looked like you could string it up and it'd work.

haha, not anymore. The '65 jag neck I sold for a good amount because the fretwork was not something I was ready to shell out for, and because I know a duo or mustang neck will be a lot cheaper when I have the money to actually finish it. I'll find something cool when the time is right! It'll be interesting to throw a 24" in my arsenal, now that my main guitar is a 27"... Should be cool.
All I've really still got are a lot of random plates/electronics, the original body, and the super cool Frankie guard from Mike's. I don't know if I'll have any of the original parts by the time I'm done, but it'll happen! For sure.
December, I'll be applying for a job, and I'll start piecing things together again. Just doesn't make sense unless I'm getting enough money to keep going with it.

I forgot to take a photo yesterday, I drilled the holes and put most of the stuff together. Wiring didn't get finished though...
This is an example of the finish, it isn't what I asked for... but I like it!
The checking is amazing! I'll get a photo of that when it is put together. Kind of like spider webs all throughout.
As for 'relicing', I've dropped the body already and dropped some tools on it... and cracked some finish fitting the neck! Whoops!

The custom plates were having nothing to do with the pickguard, so I had to scrape with the edge of a razor blade to reshape the guard. Also had to sand the neck pocket, that was pretty fun! I have it REALLY tight right now.

Awesome looking color! Sherwood with mint guard is the perfect combo. Great inspiration for my own build.

And I think I'm going to leap into another project... transferring the burgundy mist Jag to a black body with a black 1-ply pickguard. And then parting the Burgundy Mist jag back together over time.

The black/black would work especially well on a jag with all the chrome.

I have a black/black/black headstock Bass VI that I pretty much love. I wouldn't do a black headstock on the Jag.
