Nope, Jake and Crumble are correct, it's the space station model from 2001: a Space Odyssey dumped in a field in the UK. After the movie was finished, Kubrick had all the models and blueprints disposed of. He felt that if people saw them it would destroy the illusion of the film. They dumped this in a field near the studio and some neighboorhood kids finished wrecking it. —https://www.facebook.com/coffindagger |

This isn't even close to being hard unless you can't read English, but was spied today during the pre-Easter shelf check at Dave's (scarfing some Tortex picks). I can see the online prices for a single, don't know what actually ends up transpiring street price. I would imagine $350 for the pair is pretty good. (I was busier not drooling over the pristine, never out of the house, Tonemaster head/cab combo for $1495 on premises from an estate sale. Hadn't seen one in the flesh before so it was one of those, "hmmm, just what is this?" things from across the room. 'Bout the same as a movie prop since I can't afford either one right now. They sure are purty though.) —Wes DISCLAIMER: The above is opinion/suggestion only & should not be used for mission planning/navigation, tweaking of instruments, beverage selection, or wardrobe choices. |

They must do aerobatic exhibitions too, 'cause the pair were stacked face to face but not levitating too well. But I bet two 15's can move some air. Thanks for that pic. I always loved that hillside mockup. —Wes DISCLAIMER: The above is opinion/suggestion only & should not be used for mission planning/navigation, tweaking of instruments, beverage selection, or wardrobe choices. |
