Permalink Slow surf songs - Old School

Wanted to reply to a thread I started about some great songs on a podcast that turned out to be the Ventures (Green Fields and Genesis), but it was already closed.

I love the slow, darkness of those tunes, especially the string accompaniment on Genesis. Do the Ventures have other lesser known songs in a similar vein--or other 1st gen bands? Stuff with strings perhaps?
