Pretty stoked - just added the reverb tank yesterday!

Jag>soul food>pog2>tu2>echo>reverb>twin with jamman for effects and movie quotes.

Those Jamman pedals really are a life saver for the live triggering of samples. We used to use an actual sampler, which was just another cumbersome piece of equipment. The Jamman does the trick at a VERY reasonable price when compared to samplers.

Still didn't try the Jamman, but someone gave me an old MacBook for free. We use this for our samples and the program 'Soundplant'. It works great! Wink

Back in the original(2005)incarnation of KBK I would lug a computer to shows and use the BacktoBasics program that MOAM? used at the time to trigger samples. It did the job quite well. But damn if it isn't easier to have everything in a pedal.

Haha, I did the same in 2000 with my band. Carried a whole PC with screen as laptops were not affordable back then Wink

haha...I did the same thing. I tried very hard to find an old laptop very cheap, but they just weren't easily available. I will admit that lugging around an entire PC tower and CRT Monitor was a pain in the ass.

hi!
can you switch samples on the JamMan by footswitch?

You can...The Jamman Stereo has the bank switches built in. We use the Jamman Solo, which has an external footswitch to scroll bands with.

The Jamman is so easy to use, although the software is a little clunky. And the POG2 is off...

It may not LOOK like surf...but it is.

Hacking away at Surf Rock since '87!

I'm a huge fan of tape delay. Get the right pedal, and it adds a nice warble that really surfs up a sound. (I use a TC Flashback, with a tape toneprint from Dann Huff.)

Guitar -> ehx lpb-1 -> radial bigshot ABY pedal

ABY output 1 -> danlelectro cool cat fuzz v2 -> danelectro fab distortion -> boss ds-1 -> ashton wah pedal -> hardwire rv-7 reverb -> amp

ABY output 2 (isolation transformer enabled) -> rocksmith cable into xbox 360

ABY tuner output -> i normally use clip-on tuners but if i'm using open-d or another tuning for slide, which i dont do often I run a boss tu-80 tuner here.

  • all batteries removed to eliminate the fear of corrosion
  • the lbp-1 is at the front before the ABY pedal to boost my passive bass into rocksmith as it wont detect my bass without it. (i dont play bass often but its fun.). also have a cheap bass amp i switch amps to when doing this.
  • having the ABY before the rocksmith cable allows me to hear myself back clean (or however i like) through my own amp when the game runs its own modelling over the top.

Optionally - I can also DI (Direct Inject) into my Soundcraft Compact 10 mixing desk and run that into a computer running guitar rig or similar via a Behringer U-CONTROL UCA202 (RCA inputs)

Or I also have a Behringer UCG102 which does the same..

To record I Mic my amp through the desk into the RCA interface as theres no messing about apart from pointing the mic into the front of the amp. I prefer that as I get what I hear recording.
