Smile Sorry Danny, but I've never really liked In & Out. Every time I've eaten that food it always made me sick Puke I'm probably gonna get Stoned for saying that Laughing In the other hand I always prefer Nations Drool

when we moved to So. Cal. in 81 we went to In n Out alot, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. I got burnt out on it.
I admit they got great fries, and killer real Vanilla Ice cream shakes.
but I'm more of a flame broiled fan than grilled burgers.

and when I drive by In n Out and they are grilling Onions for somebodys burgers I throw up a little bit in my mouth.

Wink Puke

Cool I don't like their fries either Laughing Sorry Danny Laughing

The Deadbeats

You gotta get In-N-Out fries well done - otherwise they're almost inedible. Though who goes there for the fries?

-Warren

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Smile All the Fries I've eaten ther have all been kinda cold and soggy Puke But fries at cheap places like Burger King are good. The kinda of fries I really like are Seasoned Curly Fries Razz

I usually only get the burgers myself. Some locations make the fries good while others are horrible. I've actually been avoiding fast food altogether lately.

Warren-
is that place you mentioned the one we went to in Santa Ana that one time?

Art's Corner Cafe in Ventura is the best in town, they make their own buns.

Now, that has to be good. Most places use cheap bread that is similar in consistency to an old used sponge! Fresh bread rules.

In & out food as photographed by me while on vacation. Not props but the real deal!! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3098/2869919260_06cc292e91.jpg?v=0

After a hard night of drinking in L.A. we would go to The Original Tommy's for an in your face chili cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, chili cheese dogs piled high with onions and thick slices of tomatoes and plenty of those hot little yellow peppers. The smell would linger in your car for days if you chose to eat in your car. They make doubles and even triple chili burgers if you ask and open 24 hours to boot! image

For me, Tommy's Drool blows everybody else away. Some buddies
and I have actually made Tommy's runs from San Francisco to L.A. We'd
drive 400 miles, pig-out, and drive back. We were young and dumb,
but very happy guys. When I lived in L.A. I'd often go more than once
in one evening (either a chemical induced attack of the munchies,
or different groups of friends asking me to go at different times).
I'd usually eat 3 double cheesburgers at a setting, and often my
buddies would keep buying me more to see how many I could eat.
After all that grease and cholestrol, I'm lucky I'm still alive and not
400 pounds! I've toned it down a bit in my old age. Sob! Crying

"16 bucks for Kobe Beef"

Kobe Beef? What the hell is Kobe Beef?
Will it turn me into a basketball player?

Kobe as in Kobe, Japan,
they walk the cows around alot, so they dont just stand there.
they message them,
and I heard that they feed them Oats soaked in Guinness Beer.
instead of just hay.

dude I work payday to payday.
but believe me, its worth 16 bucks.

Text Message man,
hell you think I'm gonna pay 16 bucks for a burger from a cow that ain't up to current technology, and hasnt been text messaged.

Oh. Thanks for clarifing that Jeff.
That's pretty cool. I've never eaten a cow that's been messaged before. Is that a text message, or a phone message?

Wink

Jeff, did you text the cow to tell it that everything is better with bacon yet? HAHA That burger may be worth $16 with the bacon. Just maybe.

Hodads burgers in Ocean Beach in San Diego area.
get the Bacon Chhesburger.
its not just slices of bacon, they actually chop the bacon up and make a little patty to put on top of the beef patty. Drool

Bacon is the bomb, and makes everything better,
just lie real lime juice makes most tiki drinks better.
and some beers.

Enjoy it while you're still a young man. I spent my dime already........

Alright, so I came across this classic burger joint/diner called "The Sycamore", it is in Bethel, Connecticut. Apparently it has been open since about 1960, classic 50/60's styled diner. I will be trying this place for the first time on Saturday night (they also do a classic car "cruise" untill October) Should be cool, really looking forward to it after reading reviews. Any New York or Connecticut area folks ever try it?
