I have not played this model. I will say Roland amps are well built (JC120)and tend to get the job done. I see it has a real spring reverb that could be a plus, and I see Roland as under valued as they can be had on the cheap. media.rolandus.com/manuals/BC-60_310_OM.pdf — |

I don't know the Blues Cube but the old 80s Cube 60, covered in orange, had a uniquely dark, boxy sound that I would not associate with any 'vintage' or surf tones. Maybe good for jazz and blues. I didn't like the reverb either, it sounded very dark and not at all lively. — |
