Permalink Yet Another Big Winter Storm Coming

New Topic
Goto Page: 1 2 3 Next

Here we go again. Forecast is for up to 8 - 12 inches of heavy wet snow in the Northeast (certainly in my area) by Saturday night. You all be careful out there.

what gives? we've barely had fall. it's not supposed to get that cold here but it's gloomy and windy. yuck.

www.surfintheeye.com

forgive me, but I feel the need to gloat.
it was in the high 70s to low 80s the last few days here in So.Cal.
early in the week it was in the low 60s, and over cast I loved it.
please no more hot days.

yes its called vacation.

I suggest the weekend of Jan. 22 2012,
for the Winter surf Jam, usually low 60s to mid 70s in the day.

and then again in August 11th, 2012
for the SG101 convention.
this past summer was nice,
high 80s to low 90s at the most.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Jeff, I would really like to spend my summer vacations in California in the years to come (and make it to the SG101 convention). I'm wainting my kids are bigger and also saving money for that !

The worst thing about weather like this is the constant "should we or shouldn't we cancel" stuff. My wife's band just decided not to cancel, so they're driving up to Portland, ME & hoping for the best.

Oh, the other worst thing is that the weather SUCKS!

end rant.

Is this Mother Earth's way of saying Trick Or Treat? Here in the flatlands of North Carolina it was balmy Friday morning & by qutting time it was winter! And just two weeks ago I was body surfing at OBX!!

Peace and Stay Free!

Keep that mess up there!

yeah, we went from a nice fall day here on the coast to winter and now they are forecasting a nor'easter for us which we don't need due to the very fragile state of the only road on and off our barrier island.

After what happened recently, I thought I'd repurpose this topic. By now everyone is aware of the big storm currently moving up the East Coast. Carol is posting pictures of snow on the Outer Banks, and I just saw a video of kids sledding down a pier on body boards.

This is a nasty one. I'm looking at 12 to 18-inches of snow. I already have 18 in several layers, with two ice layers in the middle refrigerated by temps never over 20. It's a sunny -4 right now.

Please be careful.

noel......jealous, you have sun. all our snow is melting off. looks like this next ones going to get you.

It could be worse. This is my second day working from home. Schools have been closed due to pending 'ice and snow'. However, none of the predictions have panned out and we have really just been sitting here for no reason.

THE KBK ... This is the last known signal. We offer Sanctuary.

Jeff do you know Paul Santa Maria from Buffalo?

4th wed in a row of sub 0 mornings, but we do have sun.

Fill your bathtubs with water southern folk, the shit that is hitting is as bad as a hurricane. You will still have to flush the toilet when the well pump is out due to ice.

Paul's name sounds familiar....
I've been in Nashville for twenty years now and met a lot of people when I was playing locally up in western New York.
