Taking any interest in playing our second Surf Fest in Jacksonville this late-July time frame. Last year was truly on with The Mystery Men, The Surge, The Intoxicators and Novarays... may expand to Friday and Saturday this year. Thanks all. Would love to have you, but wont go through the commit and resend we did last year. Please only commit when you've talked to everyone and can truly commit.

Thanks guys. The venue owner wants to help us make it bigger this year... so the extra $. Have about 5 bands expressing interest so far. You gotta admit, Underbelly is a really nice venue.

Underbelly is tops! Great location, good stage, cool staff... You're lucky to have a place like that in town that's friendly to booking surf!

Excellent GM... send a link to muse. Thanks all for the recent east coast interest. This may turn out to be a huge event. I am working on a big name act to headline...since no regional big names have immediately come through... although there is still time. The official name for 2014 is SURF FEST DOS JACKSONVILLE!
Thank you Brian and all the SG101 people. Despite the east coast disconnect, this would not be happening without the site and the CA brethren. I thank you all for your support.

The Surge too but the last weekend in July, Eddie Katcher transforms into alter ego, "puttnkdude" and heads to upstate New York with his beloved 60's go karts for a vintage kart event.
The track at Avon NY is a dead ringer for the original kart track built by Go Kart Mfg in Azusa, CA in 1959.
Will check with Scott Kniesel the event promoter on the actual date for 2014.

Yep, just like I thought the Avon event is July 25-27. Any other weekend the Surge! can most likely make it to Jax.
I was just there the last weekend in January at the 103rd Street Kart complex over near Cecil. Cold weather but great fun.

Yo Yall... The Crowkeepers have been in the studio for a week... really cool things coming. But More Importantly, JACKSONVILLE SURF FEST DOS is absolutely on for July 18/19. The ? are back. Moon Base. The Intoxicators are back! Eddie, we want you guys back! We really want bands that are playing original surf music. We would love any west coast bands in the neighborhood to be apart... Please let me know...
