Almost 1 month away, all the other surf festivals are over,
lets get a big push and rev up for:
The 2012 Surf Guitar 101 Convention #5
and in doing so, I would like to announce the SG101 convention website:
http://surfguitar101.com/convention/HOME.html
Jonpaul, and Brian,
I just want to extend a sincere heartfelt thank you for all yer hardwork on putting that together.
It looks awesome.
I don't know anything about doing a site.
So this is light years beyond anything I could ever do or want.
I don't know who did more work, But I do know that there was a lot of work and time put into this effort.
So I would like to thank you both equally.
Mucho Gracis,
— Jeff(bigtikidude)

Well thanks for letting us use the bandwith to host it,
and for doing what you did, it really means a lot.
I hope everybody that sees it,
will send the link to all of their "friends"
on Facebook, and e-mail lists etc.
Thanks Everybody,
hope to see ya there.

This should appear on the sidebar shortly, but for now:
Are you coming to the convention?

I am thinking about 1 of the guitars, being for people not at the event.
probably the Strat, that Paul(aka Colt surf-here on SG101 donated)
keep an eye out for that soon.

Pretty snazzy, very nice work Johnpaul. Damn... another freaking awesome lineup (and especially a big 'holy shit' for getting John & the Nightriders to regroup), and I still can't make it over to the West Coast this year.

Great line-up!
I just wish it wasn't 2,600 away?! Maybe one of these years?

Maybe we East-Coasters have to organize a Surf Guitar 101 Convention Safari and go out together on the cheap? I have a van.

A cross-country surfin' safari would be epic, and we wouldn't have to fight over tunes either!

I also think we might find some more people along the way interested in joining the safari, and then we'll have a caravan.

That would be an epic idea of the Caravan across the USA,
be sure to swing thru the upper midwest and pick up Brian.
Be sure to check all the separate pages,
Especially the Baja Marty Memorial page.
http://surfguitar101.com/convention/BAJA_MARTY.html
I am dedicating this years SG101 convention to the Memory of Baja Marty.
He thought "it was awesome" what I was doing, and that I was bringing
such good bands from Far away to this one Huge event.
I wish he could be there, hopefully he's got the best seat in the house now.
