That mint guard looks amazing! Any more pics? I've had my Marr for about a month now and am considering changing the pickguard. Anyone put a mute on it yet? |

After having the mint guard on there for a little while, I actually ended up replacing it once again with parchment, instead of putting back on the too-bright white one it came with- it looks proper to me now! (I kinda like mint on blue or green finishes better for some reason.) No plans for a mute, but I will definitely be putting a Mastery on there soon, and I eventually might even change the pots for a 280K volume, a 500K tone, and one of those oil and paper caps (basically Wronski-styled mods). Still trying to find time to bond with her though... it plays great when I have the time to do so! — |

I was kind of thinking the same thing about the mint. I would love to see pics with the parchment! The bright white does look a bit odd to me with the aged pickup bobbins. |

That is a really good price though, you can't be blamed for this. White or KO? I ended up not doing anything to the electronics; now that I understand it's voice a little more, I've been able to get a really nice tone out of it stock (I'm almost exclusively a bridge pickup guy, but the neck sounds really nice to me too). I especially love that '65 neck on it, I'll be interested to know what you think. — |

KO...I'm on the bridge 90 percent of the time also..I know I'll like the switching system...one thing I really like about the Dipinto Galaxie how's that for a segue...is 4 buttons for 4 pups..always easy to know where you are — |

I ended up selling my G&L and my Reason amp (from the favorite Surf Guitar thread) and getting a white Marr Jaguar. The string spacing is a little close to the edge for me, I might get one of the StayTrem bridges with the closer spacing if I don't get used to it. It's cool though, I love the neck on it! |

You will get use to it! My AVRI Jag is closer to the edge than the Marr, and my '60 Jazzmaster is even closer. |

Thanks Noah... I got quite a few comments on it after some shows last year. If I suspected they only walked at the end of the set I was like, "yeah... I kicked flipped it while we were playing Misirlou..." — |

The JM Jags are looking more appealing all the time. I wish they offered them in a few more colors though. Will the JM Jags accept standard replacement pickguards? — |
