I was staying in someone's house, and this is what I found while searching for extra blankets. https://picasaweb.google.com/103500600044940817424/Jm2#5726548100819464226
1964, beat to hell, rusting away in the basement. I must try to rescue it!

Wow, I never thought I'd hear another story like this again. That is awesome, Matt.

Man, you gotta try & buy that thing! It would drive all the "relic" guys crazy! Look at how much the pickguard has shrunk over the years. I love it. Good luck trying to secure it.

I love, love stories like that. This is exciting! What an amazing color too.
I recall the JM one of the Babmis found in a chicken shed, covered with chicken s***...
What's going on Matt, any development?

I'd love to find an old Fender Jaguar like that.

I'm going to see if the guy will part with it. awkward things: A) I don't know him at all, B) he wasn't home when we were staying there. But he's clearly got money, the house is full of nice instruments. Just most of them are not exactly what I want from 1964!
speaking of "relic'ing" here's the back:
and a closeup of the pickguard & excellent work done on the jack:

I hope you get it and can put it back in playable condition. It would be a shame just to use it for spare parts.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I looks like the Desert Sand, which Fender sometimes used as a primer coat on their custom colored finishes, is clearly visible on the back.
Hope the price is bargain "basement" to match.
