Permalink Blackface Dual Showman cabinet w/ original JBL speakers Not available

New Topic

I posted earlier looking for a Dual Showman head and it's to go with this cabinet. However, I should probably just sell the cabinet as I already have more amps than I need...lol. So, I decided to list the cabinet here BUT if I happen to find a Dual Showman head before it sells, I'll keep it. So, you'd either do me a favor by buying this gorgeous-sounding cabinet or not. Smile The speakers are JBL D130F 16 Ohm- making this an 8 ohm dual cabinet.

$800

I'd rather have local pickup only as this thing is a monster.

All the original fiberglass packing is there as well as the tilt-back legs. It sounds GREAT...and that's just with my Bandmaster head. I could imagine what it sounds like fully filled with a Showman's power.

Good luck, I'm in the same boat; I have a vintage Showman cab but no head and can't find one I can afford. Mad

Not sure, I was gigging the night of your release party. Except for getting paid, I would have rather been down there! Big Grin Glad ya'll had a great time. I'm watching your schedule, but I've got a bunch of irons in the fire right now. In the middle of engineering a blues CD for our band. Amps to fix, and we're gigging fairly regularly. BUT, I need to get down there. You guys ever get up this way?

Let's organize something and we'll see if it can work out! Always looking for a new spot!

OK, Our bass player does all of our booking. I'll get some contact info for venues up here and PM you. We're currently trying to get into the Rhythm Room.

That's a great venue; however, they don't pay well as they have a sound-guy who takes at least $100 off the take at the door. If there are 3 bands playing the night, unless it's packed, don't expect much for your effort. The times I've played there I've not been happy with the sound and we ended up with only about $50 after the split with bands. It's better to play venues that give you a percentage of the alcohol sales instead of a cover-charge.

I thought you were wanting to play up your way. If you want to come down here, I can work on a show. Send me an email to matt_tha_kat@yahoo.com and send me some information on your band. I have some good clubs in mind that will make it worth the trip.

Awesome. Not sure the clubs up here pay much better. Usually flat plus tips. Smaller the band the more you make. :o)

If you're cool with it. I'll pass your info on to our bass player Ron Green and you guys can work out the details.

By all means!
