hey irv78,
very nice rig! but what's that 'footswitch' you're using there?

Looks like a Little Lehle - they make great pedals.

Yes, nedorama (btw your Bandmaster combo turned out awesome!) is right, it's a Lehle pedal. In fact it's a 'Lehle Parallel L'

I use it to counteract the volume loss from the tank. I turn the mix on the tank on full and use the Lehle to blend the original guitar signal with the reverberated signal from the tank. And what's also cool is that I can set the volume of the send and return signal, so I can overdrive the front of the tank just a little to add some hair to the sound.

I think it also increases the dynamics because the unaltered dry guitar signal practically bypasses the tank and goes straight to the amp (of course mixed with lots of verb! Big Grin

thanks Irv - very happy as well; JD Newell makes great cabs. It's also fun to watch people do a double take on it. Still have the original head cabinet, which I may use more now that I have my 64-65 Bandmaster back with speakers wired up and tilt back legs on it...

Really like your setup. I may have to start saving for an outboard reverb...

Got my cab back yesterday, wired up with Warehouse G12C speakers:

Will be breaking in the Warehouse G12C's this weekend, both with the Showman head as well as the Dr. Z Mini Z. Have a show on 10/7, so want to get them well broken in by then.

Caveats: Yes, I know my grill cloth isn't the best; this was my first attempt but wanted to get them speakers in and broken in. Since the rest of the tolex on the Showman head and the Bandmaster cab is fairly "road worn," I'll worry about it when I re-tolex head and cab and re-do the grill cloth. Big thing is that the front baffle now has wood touching the wood cleats inside the cabinet - no more grill cloth in-between, so that should help. Haven't put in insulation or batting; will see how it sounds without first.

On the grill cloth, I'm guessing it's also something you get better at with practice... looks like I need to practice more!

longboarder: Your image did not work, please re-post. Also, where in CT are you? I live in Danbury currently. If you ever want to jam, let me know! I also play drums and bass.

I posted a link can you get to it now?

Nope, you've gotta upload the image to a host like Photobucket or Flickr and then you can post the picture.

Thanks guys, the pics will hopefully be up in the next hour. Sorry for the delay.. Rob..

Hi everybody, here are some pics of my main and only rig...
Fender CIJ Jazzmaster with Lollar PUs and 250k pots into the floorboard routing as follows: polytune mini, love squeeze compressor then out to the 6g15 clone with TAD pan. back into the board into the Tiki bar, a DIY tremolo, then to the big kahuna channel switcher, also DIY. The switcher can either send signal to output A and/or B or C, A and B also have a loop which contains a blues pro overdrive and a MEK Fuzz, the grey box on the left side is the DC distributor. The signal then goes via a multicore cable to the stagebox on the back of the amp, here the DC power is also connected.
Then three cables go to the inputs of the Amp, it´s a audioampco black n tweed super amp, from a great ampbuilder here in my area. It has three channels, A and B are based on a tweed deluxe, C is based on a super reverb. It has a huge sound and lots of additional settings. If you are intereseted I can tell you about it... the amp has up to 45W into 2x10" alnico speakers. so enough of the bla bla, here are the pics! LoeD

Hello all,
The rig I am currently using
image

I am currently using a parts-caster I assembled, a Fender Champion 600 reiusse, a Fender reissue reverb unit and a Carl Martin Surf Trem pedal.

The guitar has a Mighty Mite swamp ash body. I have a set of Fender 57/62 pickups with CTS pots and an old CLR 3 way. Using a .1uf cap. The neck is from an 1989 Fender American. I have not done any mods to the amp or the reverb unit. I did replace the tubes in the amp with Raytheon tubes. I swapped out the tubes in the reverb unit to RCA for the 12AT7 and 12AX7. Then swapped to put in an RCA 6k6.

I forgot, I do run the Champion through the 1x15 speaker cab.

I play at home thses days and this rig works fine.

Thanks to the instructions Brian wrote about how to post pictures I got this one up here. Thanks Brian.

Talk to you later,
Norm
