"It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea

Get well, Mr. Rebel! Prayers for a speedy recovery . . .

Hey Eddie!

From one Eddie to another.......................Get well dude! And quickly. Your presence in this big ole family of surf music fans and players is required. And that's an order.

We here all look up to and revel in your leadership and pioneering. In short..............you da man!

See ya at 101 in '011.

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

Just visited Eddie in the hospital. He has read everyones well wishes and was very appreciative. Tom was there with him when I arrived. Eddie is in a tremendous amount of pain right now. He has a nurse monitoring him 24/7. He is a tough guy and hanging in there. He is scheduled for physical therapy this afternoon. I'll be seeing him again later this evening.

Get well wishes, flowers, cards and letters may be sent to Eddie at:

Eddie Bertrand, Room 452
c/o VA Long Beach Medical Center
5901 E 7th street
Long Beach CA 90822

Hoping for a Speedy Recovery! Get well soon.

Get well soon!

"We're lousy, we can't play. If you wait until you can play, you'll be too old to get up there. We stink, really. But it's great," Johnny Ramone .

I spent a good portion of today, Veterans Day, with Eddie and many other veterans who served our country. For those that did not know, Eddie served the USA in the US Navy during the Vietnam War era.

Eddie is still in quite a bit of pain but seems better today. The staff at the VA Hospital are taking good care of him. Eddie asked me to pass on his thanks to everyone for their well wishes.

A belated happy birthday to Mr Eddie Bertrand and glad to hear is getting better. His music was boss...
Cheers,
Fred

Eddie, get well soon... and grab that geetar... We're do for an Eddie fix!

I went to see Eddie Saturday afternoon. He was sleeping when I arrived. He has a nurse attending to him 24/7. His nurse said he was having a rough day and in a lot of pain. He mumbled something in his sleep about Norm playing the drums too fast on Squad Car. I'll be visiting him again today and check in with an update.

Rimshot

Maybe that should be one of the questions for the Q & A--"How fast should 'Squad Car' be played?"

**Hope he is recovering.

Just checked the 2008 performance out, and he burned it up. Love the hand crank siren on Squad Car!
